I have been reading the Haunting Adeline Cat & Mouse duet. I am really enjoying the story, although it has very dark elements. There is a good story there. I love the characters, even though I did not want to like Zade, but he is my favorite. He is dark and cynical and filled with demons we have yet to discover. I feel like I need so much more back story on him, I need to figure out who he is, and why he is what he is.
Adeline is stormy, not a bad person, but what she is going through now has brought to the point of breaking. I don't want her to give in or give up. I want her to stay stormy and fight for herself and others, like Zade does. I am at a point in the second book where I feel all the pain and hatred that Adeline is feeling. The words the author has written are so potent, that they seep into your mind and soul. Just remember the dark elements and the triggers are ever present in these pages.
